HERBAL PREVENTION AND SUPPLEMENTATION

My Plant Covenant. Why I Choose Herbs Over Synthetic Capsules

The modern world easily conditions us to seek health in small, artificial pills.

For years, I observed how the habit of replacing a medicine cabinet with a shelf full of plastic supplement bottles was becoming the new norm. Today, I stand in complete opposition to such an approach. I am extremely reserved when it comes to isolated, processed preparations. While I agree that the body may occasionally need support with trace elements, the most vital and complete source of everything precious remains an unprocessed plant-based diet for me.

When pure plant food becomes the foundation of daily living, one's perspective on prevention undergoes a profound transformation. Rather than reaching for synthetics, I choose to address potential deficiencies and gently support my body using carefully considered herbal blends. I also drink herbal teas daily without any forced objective, simply allowing plants to accompany me in the rhythm of the day. In this plant-based landscape of mine, the sole exception I allow is liquid cobalamin, namely vitamin B12. Although I have not had preventative blood tests done for nearly twenty years, in this single instance, I consider checking its levels and introducing a pure sublingual form.

Giving the body gentle impulses to ignite its own natural regenerative processes resonates with me far more deeply. Around three weeks ago, I completed the first month-long cycle of taking a bespoke powdered herbal blend created to enhance the internal production of glutathione—the master protector of our cells. I took it twice daily, one teaspoon at a time, either directly before or during meals. Following a deliberate break of over two weeks, which allowed my digestive system time to integrate the stimulus, I am returning to a second, equally long series.

Composition of the tripled plant formula (363 g in total):

Milk thistle – 90 g – core support for liver regeneration

Nettle – 60 g – drainage and tonification of bodily fluids

Dandelion – 60 g – digestive and bile support

Turmeric – 45 g – potent anti-inflammatory potential

Alfalfa – 45 g – rich nutritional source of trace elements

Ashwagandha – 30 g – adaptogenic stress protection

Ginger – 15 g – warmth and circulatory stimulation

Garlic – 15 g – essential sulphur for glutathione synthesis

Black pepper – ~3 g – piperine to multiply bioavailability

Receiving herbs in this manner carries an entirely different dimension for me than swallowing soul-less tablets. Every teaspoon carries an aroma and full botanical information that harmonises perfectly with the meal being digested.

What will be my next step, and which plant path will I walk once this second series comes to an end? I do not know yet. I listen to my body, observe its responses, and allow nature to guide me step by step in complete harmony and flow.
