Bullers of Buchan is a remarkably raw and picturesque stretch of rocky coastline in north-eastern Scotland, located just a few kilometres south of Peterhead. This unique geological formation is famous for its monumental cliffs of pink granite and powerful sea-sculpted caves and arches.

The site is also a vibrant sanctuary for wildlife – flocks of seabirds, including puffins, guillemots, and gulls, wheel above the precipices and nest within the rocky niches, their calls blending with the ceaseless rhythm of nature.

This is a setting where a spectacular meeting of several elements takes place. The earth, represented by the ancient granite rocks, manifests its absolute hardness and steadfast stability here. The visual impression is heightened by the contrast of this raw form against the vastness of the ocean. The water crashes against the feet of these giants with immense force, acting as a powerful, natural generator of negative ions. The resulting sea breeze carries a pure life force that perfectly cleanses both space and mind. Meanwhile, the wind, which can be fierce here, can completely die down in an instant, leaving one in a deep, almost magnetic silence.

This hidden, pebbly beach at the foot of a monumental, pyramidal sea stack, enclosed by towering cliff walls, became the perfect space for deep practices of integration and grounding.
